Flexicon Releases New ‘Cable Protection Systems for Rail’ Brochure
Flexicon has published a new brochure showcasing the company’s extensive selection of flexible conduit products and solutions for rail applications all over the world.
Entitled ‘Cable Protection Systems for Rail,’ the brochure provides guidance for specifiers, installers and contractors involved in UK and international rail projects. It demonstrates the diversity and quality of the company’s product range, and features 14 approved conduit systems that are compliant with Transport for London standard – TFL S-1085 for London Underground and Crossrail.
Flexicon is at the forefront of material technologies and industrial design to deliver solutions that protect safety and performance-critical cabling. To ensure passenger safety and operational integrity, Flexicon’s flexible conduit systems are subjected to detailed quality auditing, including the International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS), and extensive, independent testing.
The extent of Flexicon’s product testing is detailed in the brochure, including ingress protection beyond BS EN IEC 60529. Product fire performance is also tested to EN 45545-2 (compliant to HL3), NFPA 130 and Transport for London S-1085.
